The son of a stage actor, who in the 1940s was a radio personality, who also loved to write poetry, Bruce Pingree is a sporadic writer and an award-winning radio host who has been known to perform on stage. A native of New Hampshire, Bruce was named “The Heart of Portsmouth” in 2012 by Citizens Bank and WMUR-TV, “for his outstanding commitment to the city of Portsmouth.” A longtime friend told WMUR-TV, “….even if you don’t know who he is, you most likely still benefited from his involvement….Bruce is an avid supporter of the arts and is always willing to lend a hand, a space, a connection and his thoughts to help.” A well-known advocate for music and the arts, he has been honored with lifetime achievement awards from both The Portsmouth Herald and The Blues Bank Collective. Bruce has worn many hats in his 50+ years as part of the Seacoast arts and cultural community. A few poetry highlights include:

-Reading Jack Kerouac at the Elvis Room, March 12th 1998 in honor of Jack’s birthday

-Opening performance for TEDx Piscataqua River 2019 with Chris Klaxton, trumpet
-2024 finally attending the National International Beat Poetry Festival and reading twice
Mark Michael Adams is a writer, spoken word performer, and storyteller who has been part of the Seacoast scene for over two and a half decades. He appears on the Ester Buffler and Friends CD High on Poetry. He has been published by Good Fat magazine. He is on the advisory board and performs with Long Story Short and is the voice of Frederick Pike in the sci-fi radio drama podcast A Long Walk.
