We have very few pictures of the penny poet of Portsmouth Robert Dunn and they’re all a little grainy and we’ve had no idea who took them. But recently Nancy Grace Horton, the photographer of the most iconic of Dunn’s photos, reached out to let us know she was the one behind the camera. Not only that, she graciously gave us the original. This photo of Dunn is so iconic it’s displayed larger than life on the wall of the Foundry Place parking garage along with many other photos considered emblematic of the beauty, history and life of Portsmouth. Thank you Nancy for this amazing photo of a man we all consider to be a local and national treasure.
