Richard Foerster’s new collection is With Little Light and Sometimes None at All (Littoral Books, 2023). Richard’s many honors, spanning over forty years, include the “Discovery”/The Nation Award, Poetry magazine’s Bess Hokin Prize, the Amy Lowell Poetry Travelling Scholarship, two National Endowment for the Arts Poetry Fellowships, as well as two Maine Literary Awards for Poetry. His eighth collection, Boy on a Doorstep: New and Selected Poems (Tiger Bark Press, 2019), received the 2020 Poetry by the Sea Book Award. He has been a resident fellow at MacDowell, Yaddo, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts here in the U.S., and has also had residencies in Ireland, Scotland, Spain, France, the Czech Republic, and Australia. Recent poems of his appear in Bennington Review, 32 Poems, Jabberwock Review, Notre Dame Review, Poetry East, Tar River Poetry, and Valparaiso Poetry Review. He lives in Eliot, Maine.
