We are so excited for Diannely’s first project to get started with her Bread and Poetry Podcast! Diannely will be interviewing poets and bread makers and folks of all kinds in her mission to bring poetry (and bread) to everyone. Listen to the trailer on Simplecast or look up Bread & Poetry on Spotify and Apple Podcasts

“This podcast is about, you guessed it, bread AND poetry. I was inspired by the poem “Like You” by Roque Dalton for both the title and mission of this podcast. My favorite line of the poem reads: “I believe the world is beautiful and that poetry like bread is for everyone.” So in this podcast, I’ll be bringing poetry to the people, poets and non-poets alike. From artists to baristas, I’ll be interviewing folks from all different walks of life about poetry and what it means to them. My goal is to demystify poetry, make it truly accessible to all in a way that nourishes the soul. I’ll also be talking about bread. Favorite types of bread, memories around bread, just lots of bread. Who doesn’t love bread? Similarly, who doesn’t love poetry?”  Diannely Antigua, 13th poet laureate of Portsmouth
